In Hulst and Flanders with Helcx

Helcx excursion took us to Hulst. Fairly new venue for major cyclocross events, 2020 event beeing the fourth edition. Citadel of Hulst provides unique surroundings in terms of course and venue. Steep walls of the citadel push riders to their limits. Takes tons of focus to descend and you also need to push extremely hard to get back up. Can't wait to see Hulst host 2020-2021 World Cup Race.

On Monday we went for a ride with Karl-Heinz from Pedal BXL. Early wake-up at 5:30 and straight to train. One hour journey took us to the epicentre of flandrian cycling, Oudenaarde. Centrum Ronde Van Vlaanderen was still closed. Needless to say, the ride included most of the classic hills that you see in road cycling spring classics. Can't even imagine what it feels like to ride those up in a bunch, after 200 kilometres of serious competing behind you. To conclude, contact Pedal BXL and ask them to take you for a ride.
