For millions of years, the wild animals of North America have been fitting themselves into every available nook and cranny of the landscape. Ten thousand years ago humans became part of the equation, and ever since have sometimes used, sometimes abused, but always admired the magnificent animals with which they share the continent.

When the Land Belonged to God

The term wildlife refers to living organisms that are not in any way artificial or domesticated and which exist in natural habitats. Wildlife can refer to flora (plants) but more commonly refers to fauna (animals). Needless to say, wildlife is a very general term for life in various ecosystems. Deserts, rainforests, plains, and other areas—including the most built-up urban sites—all have distinct forms of wildlife.

What a great way to find out about the 'Worlds Biomes'. Major biomes include deserts, forests, grasslands, tundra, and several types of aquatic environments.

The earth includes a huge variety of living things, from complex plants and animals to very simple, one-celled organisms. But large or small, simple or complex, no organism lives alone. Each depends in some way on other living and nonliving things in its surroundings.
