What to See
Seattle - Interlaced with lakes and creeks, the thriving home of Boeing, Microsoft and Starbucks, Seattle is one of the USA's most popular cities.
Yellowstone National Park - America's first and best loved National Park is rich in spectacular naturals features, notably 'Old Faithful' geyser plus plentiful and varied wildlife.
San Francisco - Many people's favorite US city,. San Francisco is a multicultural center renowned for its many skyscrapers, gay scene, trams, Alcatraz and its magnificent Golden Gate Bridge.
Los Angeles - The Entertainment center of the world, this sprawling metropolitan center contains Hollywood's Universal Studios, Disneyland and the Getty Museum.
Las Vegas - World famous for its gambling and the glitzy showbiz 'The Strip' is alive with themed hotels/casinos.
Grand Canyon - The most famous of all canyons up to 29km (18miles) wide. Book well ahead for activities and accommodation.
Niagara Falls - Two of the world's most spectacular falls. Canada's 'Horseshoe Falls' and the smaller 'Niagara Falls'.
New York - The cultural and financial center of the USA. Iconic landmarks such as the Empire Estate Building, Central Park and Broadway.
Washington DC - Devoid of skyscrapers the city built to be the US Capital offers top-class museums and visits to the nations political institutions.
Disney World - (near Orlando) The world's most famous theme park. The park is dominated by its Cinderella Castle. Other attractions near by are Sea World and the Universal Studios.

Balance the Budget
The Committee For A Responsible Federal Budget has released a new Web-based tool that lets you have a go at balancing the Federal budget by 2018, assuming a debt level of no greater than 60% of Gross Domestic Product. It's an interesting exercise, particularly if you (like me) consider higher taxes to be anathema, and want to get rid of as much bloated Government spending as possible. Have a go yourself, and see how you do.
