The Maldives (pronounced MAHL-deeves) are located in the Indian Ocean south west of Sri Lanka. There are roughly two thousand islands, made up of 26 atolls. Only 200 of the islands are inhabited. Small and medium islands surrounded by Coral reefs guarantee a calm and crystal clear sea where innumerable types of fish can be observed.

Polynesia is a large grouping of over 1,000 islands in the central and southern Pacific Ocean. Geographically, Polynesia is a triangle with its three corners at Hawai'i, New Zealand, and Easter Island. Samoa, Tonga, Marquesas, and French Polynesia are the other main island groups located within the Polynesian triangle.
