The Jomtien Beach is located about 2 kilometres from south Pattaya. This beach and the area has become more and more popular for swimming, water sports
and activities because it has a long straight coastline and there are less boat anchored in the area.
Jomtien is the longest and most popular beach close to Pattaya City. but few visitors know of the other but no less pleasant beaches located just a few
minutes from the centre of the town.
Beauty at the Beach
If you are looking for a quiet, sandy beach within walking distance of "The Strip" in South Pattaya then try the one at the extreme south of the
town just before you reach the Royal Cliff Resort Hotel.
Walk down "The Strip" past the Siam Bayshore Hotel and onto the beach where all the boats are now parked. Continue along the coast until you turn
a corner and lose sight of Pattaya. The beach at this point is secluded, sandy and definitely uncrowned. Here you will be able to rent a deckchair and umbrella.
and get something cold to drinks. Here you will not be able to buy those souvenirs sold by the strolling vendors that wander up and down the beach at Jomtien.
Pattaya Beach
There are several other pleasant beaches close to the heart of Pattaya.
Why not do some exploration for yourself.
Footnotes:
Will I be able to swim in the Sea?
Sea temperature is an important factor if you are planning to splash about on the beach. As a rule the sea is generally warmer towards the end of the summer season and
most holiday makers find 20-25° is a comfortable temperature.
www.sea-temperature.com is a excellent round-up of the world's
waters, complete with current, average and recent temperatures.
