The only coral reef island in India with rich flora and fauna. The Island is a Great tourist destination for Water sports, Fishing etc with a virgin and
fragile eco-system. A unique and quiet getaway destination.
A Coral Paradise - The Most Beautiful Place on Earth.
The protected Lakshadweep atoll islands bursts from a deep blue waters of the Lakshadweep sea, in an incandescent busts of turquoise. Reached by plane
from Cochiin, the flight takes 50 minutes. The tranquillity of the area becomes alive as one weaves through shallow waters in the transfer boat from the main
Island of Agitti to Bangaram Island. Of the 36 islands in the Lakshadweep chain of islands, Bangaram Island is the only island that the Indian Government has
allowed for tourists to stay on. In keeping with its fragile ecology, the only sign of habitation are two black windmills, their blades jutting above swaying
palm trees to catch the breeze.
The resort on Lakshadweep here has been constructed in the traditional manner, basically using every part of the palm tree. Leaves are used as thatch
and the husk fibres are used to produce matting.
Apart from the diving school there is little to do here. This is one of the spectacular and untouched places to dive eon earth. Swim with a flock of
manta rays or massive turtles, immerse yourself in shoals of darting fish that completely fill your vision or watch the moray eels.
The neighbouring Island of Parali One and Two And Tirnakara are only about 15 minutes away by outboard. Walk waist deep between deserted tropical islands,
translucent waters lapping at your waist, herons staring intently into the shallows and flocks of terns filling the skis is one of the most beautiful experiences
on earth.
