Li River
 The Li River or Li Jiang originates in the Mao'er Mountains in Xing'an county and flows through Guilin, Yangshuo and Pingle, down into
the Xi Jiang, the western tributary of the Pearl River in Wuzhou. Cormorant fishing is often associated with the Lijiang.
The Li River is also known as the Lishui River. This picturesque river plays a significant role in tourism to the Guangxi's reagion. Originating
in mountain Cat in the Xinan Country, located in the northeast of Guilin. The Li River meanders its way for about 170 Kilometres, passing through Guilin,
Yangshuo, Pingle, Zhaoping and finally meets the Xi River in Wulin. It boasts the largest and most beautiful Karst scenic area in China.
 Verdant Karst peaks, graceful waters, mysterious grottoes and exquisite rocks. Along the river, there are deep pools, dangerous shoals, murmuring
springs, and roaring waterfalls. The 83km long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is the masterpiece of Li River, decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs,
fantastic caves, leisurely boats and lined bamboos.
 The Li River is known for clear and spectacular reflections of the surrounding hills. During the winters, this view becomes all the more fascinating
due to the drizzling rains and lingering clouds. The Li River is appropriately called as the fairyland for the tourists. According to the different scenes,
the Li River can be divided into three main sections.
Guilin To Ox Gorge is a picturesque gallery of forests of grotesque peaks, towns, scattering cottages and fields compose the beginning chapter of
the beauty. The main attractions along the banks of the Li River in this first section include the Elephant Hill, the rooster fighting hill, the
Clear-Vase Hill, the Forest of odd peaks, Father and son cave, Longmen village, the Dayan town and the Millstone Hill.
 Ox Gorge To Water-Dropping Village, the second section of your journey down the Li river includes a variety of mountain ranges and many weird shaped
peaks, which make for a great tourist attraction. The major attractions in this section include the Wang Fu Rock, Caoping Village, One-side Ferry, A boy
worships Buddha, Wave-stone scenery, Eight fairies crossing the River, the Mural Hill, Reflection of the Yellow cloth and the Xingping town. Crown Cave,
Painted Cliff and scenic wonders in Xingping are are the most spectacular, excited and intoxicating.
 Water-Dropping Village To Yangshuo, green bamboos, bending willows, crop fields, cottages and fishing villages can be seen every where. This part of
the river is also known for its green hills, clear water, fantastic caves and stunning rocks , all adds an exceptional charm of pastoral culture.
 The seasonal beauty of the Li River, in different types of weather, the reflections of the hills in clear and greenish water on clear days are special
pleasing to the eyes, but the river is more enchanting in rainy and misty weather. The hazy view of the drizzling rain and lingering clouds give birth to
a wonderful fairyland.
