Credit Cards/Currency
Travellers cheques and many major credit cards are accepted in most hotels and banks and at the Friendship Stores.
Food:
Chinese food is renowned all over the world. However most is Cantonese which is just one of four distinct varieties including Beijing, Shanghai and Sichuan.
Vegetarian diets can be a problem, but meals are usually made up with meat being separate.
Shopping:
Travellers within China are faced with an overwhelming selection of crafts. and in special areas, antiques. However caution with local souvenirs should be exercised
as shops in the UK could have identical items for sale.
